Dr. Andreea Font
I am a Reader at Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI) at Liverpool John Moores University and a member of the Computational Cosmology group at ARI.
My research interests are in the area of formation and evolution of galaxies and on the nature of dark matter. A lot of my research focuses on modelling the properties of our own Galaxy, the Milky Way and of other 'Milky Way analogues'. To this end, we have recently constructed a suite of Milky Way-type simulations called ARTEMIS, which enabled us to compare our theoretical models with observations of Milky Way-type galaxies.

I also act as deputy director for the STFC-funded Center for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Data Intensive Science LIV.INNO.
